Let’s take a look at the projects…

Let’s start with a warm up!

In the warm up lesson we’ll just play - marking up our canvas while we get to know the tools we’ll use throughout the rest of the course!

Lesson 1 - Fresh Perspective

We're gonna take that warm up and turn it into a big, beautiful abstract landscape painting! Throughout the lesson we'll explore tons of cool techniques using acrylics to create texture and interest. You won't believe what we can do with just a few strokes of a brush! So let's get creative, let's get messy, and let's make some amazing art together. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Lesson 2 - Beach Days

In Lesson 2 we'll tackle another big canvas and create a moody abstract beach scene! We’ll use a mix of blues, greens, and browns and get creative with our sky, using a trowel, a big brush, and some paper towel to create texture and interest. Then to finish it off, we'll be add some shimmering hints of metallic gold to really make things sparkle. So let's get ready to make some serious waves!

Lesson Three - Seaside Sunrise

In Lesson 3 we will paint a beautiful pink and yellow sunrise over an abstracted landscape. We will focus on painting a soft blended sky as a backdrop to a textured hill with waves rolling up to a beach.

Lesson Four - Follow the Path

In Lesson 4 we will tackle an extra large 36x72” canvas! We begin without a plan creating an abstract landscape in many layers, using the techniques we learned throughout previous lessons.

Bonus lesson!

Another View

Throughout the course I chat a lot about mindset. The idea that nothing is too precious is an important aspect of my painting process. If you are not happy with a piece you can always add another layer of paint! In this bonus lesson we will put that into action as I transform the finished piece from our first lesson into a whole new painting!
