Lesson 1 - Simply Sweet

Let us begin our artistic journey with a burst of freshness and beauty as we create a stunning piece on a 16x20 inch canvas in our first lesson. Delve into the world of color choices, mixing techniques, and the art of staying loose while mastering the subtle art of knowing when to say "it's done"! This lesson is the perfect way to warm up your creative muscles and get inspired with its fast-paced and fun approach.

Lesson 2 - A Touch of Autumn

In Lesson 2 we will go a little bit bigger with a 24x30 inch canvas(you can choose whatever size you wish of course!) We will explore some more gorgeous colour mixtures while chatting about following intuition, knowing when to stop and let the layers dry. When we are done you will have a warm, gorgeous abstract floral painting that will make you swoon with delight!

Lesson 3 - Cascading Beauty

In Lesson 3 we will create beautiful cascading flowers on a 36x18 inch canvas. Discover the joys of creating loose flowers with a roller as I share with you a fun and easy technique. This lesson is super fun and the results are gorgeous!

 

Lesson 4 - Flirtatious

Get ready for a fast-paced and fabulous Lesson 4, where we'll create a vibrant and stunning 30x30 inch masterpiece using only a few carefully chosen colors and a dash of intuition. You'll also have the opportunity to learn my fun and engaging "roller" technique for creating breathtaking abstract flowers.

Lesson 5 - Blossoming Romance

Lesson 5 is all about painting a big beautiful mess of flowers! We will layer deep shades of pink and olive on a 24x36 inch canvas. I will share my thoughts on layering and following intuition while letting the paint guide the way.

Bonus Lesson!

A Beautiful Journey

Sometimes in the studio things don’t go as planned! In this bonus lesson I will take you on a journey through a project with many, many layers! I will openly share my thoughts as the canvas challenges me over the course of a few painting sessions. This lesson has many twists and turns and offers a glimpse into my process when the camera isn’t rolling!



SUPPLY LIST

Here is a list all of the supplies I use for each lesson in the course. I encourage you to experiment with colours and brushes...use what you've got! 

Stretched canvas - I use sizes, 16x20", 24x30", 18x36", 30x30", 24x36" and 36x48"(bonus lesson)
Small foam roller
Extra Large Round Brush - Size 20 (approx 1" diameter) 
Assorted Filbert Paint brushes ( I used sizes 4, 12 and 16) 
2.5 inch wide paint brush(the type used to paint walls) 
Spray bottle full of water
Paper Towel - shop towel or cloth will also work

White Gesso and/or heavy body acrylic paint in Titanium White

Fluid Acrylics(Heavy or soft body can be substituted) 

  • Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold

  • Quinacridone Magenta

  • Raw Umber

  • Paynes Gray

  • Cerulean Blue Hue

  • Cadmium Yellow Medium Hue

  • Cadmium Red Medium Hue

  • Burnt Sienna(this colour is used in the bonus lesson only)
