Shipping to the United States
A note for my US collectors
I’m very happy to continue shipping my original artwork to collectors throughout the United States, and complimentary shipping is still included with your purchase.
There has, however, been an important change to US import requirements that I want you to be aware of before ordering.
US Import Duty on Original Artwork
As of August 22, 2026, original artwork entering the United States from Canada is subject to a 50% US import duty.
This duty is:
charged by US Customs, not by me
not included in the price of the artwork
the responsibility of the buyer
generally required to be paid before your parcel can be released for delivery
I do not collect this fee at checkout and the duty does not come to me.
Shipping Is Still Complimentary
I will continue to cover the cost of shipping your original artwork from my studio in Canada to the United States.
The new import duty is separate from shipping and is assessed when the artwork enters the US.
What This Means When You Order
You can shop and check out through my website as usual.
I will carefully package and ship your artwork from Canada. Once it reaches the United States, you may be contacted regarding payment of the applicable import duty before your parcel can continue on to you.
Please keep this additional cost in mind when choosing your artwork.
Thank You
I know that a 50% import duty is significant, and I want to make sure there are no unexpected surprises after you fall in love with a piece.
I’m incredibly grateful to the many US collectors who have welcomed my paintings into their homes over the years, and I hope to continue sending artwork your way despite these new requirements.
If you have any questions about shipping before placing an order, please feel free to get in touch.
Please note: Import duties are determined and collected by US authorities and are outside of my control. Customs requirements can change, and buyers are responsible for any duties or import charges associated with their purchase.
